With One Holiday Season Over Its Time to Get Ready for Mardi Gras

(PRWEB) January 2, 2010 -- Around this time of the year many holiday goers are recovering from Christmas and New Years but anyone that knows anything about Mardi Gras knows that this is just the beginning of nearly two months of festivities centered around nothing but having some fun. Mobile, AL is the original home of the Mardi Gras celebration and since the late 1800's until now things have only grown on the gulf coast.

In order to have fun with Mardi Gras there has to be some knowledge about what to wear 'where'. There are many things to do like attend a ball, parade or ride one of the many floats the krewe's offer. A traditional Mardi Gras balls is a tails and white tie event and it can be spruced up with a fancy mardi gras mask to reflect the formality of the event. If attendending a parade be sure to catch some serious amounts of mardigras beads (http://www.toomeys-mardigras.com) but be sure to pick up a few for yourself before attending so you can be in style when you show up.

This year Toomey's is expecting more new products to keep the shopping part of things exciting. Earlier in the year a new website was launched with access to many more products and options allowing next day shipping on all orders.

"Mardi Gras is just plain fun for the entire family" says Stephen Toomey, owner of Mobile based Toomeys Mardi Gras. "We've been doing this since the late 70's and have not seen a year go by when people didn't have a good time."
